Apartment prices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are currently reaching a near all-time high price range. According to The Dallas Morning News, while rent for apartments in the area fell in 2009, they are currently at an average of $762.
Real estate researchers say that rental demand for apartments in Dallas- Fort Worth far exceeded anyone’s expectations. MPF Research predicts that at the end of the year rents will have increased by 2 percent from 2009. In addition, they expect rents to continue to rise in the coming years.
So far this year, approximately 23,000 apartments units have been rented in the DFW metroplex. Occupancy rates are currently at 91 percent in Dallas.
