According to a recent study, corporate relocation to Texas increased by 6 percent in 2010.

7,248 businesses relocated to Texas in 2010.  With only 5,322 business moving out of the state, about 58 percent of corporate moves in Texas were inbound.

The study used information on 75,000 corporate moves in the country in 2010.  About 58 percent of those involved moves to or from Texas.

Texas ranked 6th in the country for inbound moves.  Washington D.C. had the highest percentage of inbound corporate moves at 68 percent.  In contrast, Ohio had the highest percentage of outbound corporate moves of any state.
