Austin-area foreclosure rates decreasing

The latest available data on foreclosure in the Austin-area shows that the foreclosure rates for Travis, Bastrop, Williamson, and Hays counties are decreasing. For an upcoming foreclosure auction scheduled to take place on October 4, 1,024 properties in the area have been listed. This is an 18.5 percent year-over-year decrease.
